Side by side
| Question | Worklytics | |
|---|---|---|
| What it measures | How people adopt AI: a level for every person and team across usage, skills, impact, culture and vision (opens in a new tab) | How people use AI tools, from your tools' logs: adoption by team and role, proficiency as the share of work done with AI, and the effect on output; plus collaboration, meeting and manager metrics1, 2, 5 |
| AI tools covered | Any: Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, and tools people pay for themselves | The company AI tools you connect: 14 so far, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Cursor and GitHub Copilot1, 3 |
| Where the data comes from | Surveys and short quizzes that people answer | Metadata from the tools you connect, such as session and message counts; it says it never stores or analyzes content, and it uses no browser plugins1, 2, 10 |
| What you connect | Nothing: no tools, no admin access, nothing to install | An admin approves access to each tool, up to 5 on Business, and the first AI metrics come within a week; Enterprise adds a privacy proxy you run in your own AWS or Google Cloud account4, 11, 12, 13 |
| Why people don't use AI | 18 barriers, each with who can fix it: IT, leadership, managers or training (opens in a new tab) | Shows which teams lag, not why; for that, Worklytics suggests short surveys in the teams its data flags2 |
| AI skills | Who can do what with 125 AI tools and models, and quizzes that score n8n and Claude skills (opens in a new tab) | Proficiency read from usage: the share of work done with AI, messages per session, prompt length and which tools and models people pick2 |
| Attitudes | AI anxiety on a validated research scale, plus culture and vision in the 360° (opens in a new tab) | None of its own; it can import answers from your own survey, as numbers in a file15 |
| Levels | L1 Observer to L5 Native for every person, team and the organization | The AI Maturity Curve for the organization: Adoption, Proficiency, Leverage2, 6 |
| Benchmarks | None from other companies yet | Peer benchmarks for AI use: basic on Business, advanced on Enterprise2, 4 |
| Privacy | Named or anonymous, set per survey; results from the first answer, with no minimum group size | Reports by group, of at least 8 people per its privacy page, and the minimum is a setting; Enterprise adds data per person; without its proxy, the raw data reaches Worklytics, which cleans it itself4, 7, 10, 11 |
| Security | No access to your systems; no SOC 2 or ISO certification yet | SOC 2 Type II, audited every year; the privacy proxy's source code is public8, 14 |
| Price | Free plan; paid plans on request | AI adoption insights start on Business: from $2,500 a month for up to 200 people, then $10 a person a month; the free plan reads calendars only4 |
Where Worklytics is stronger
- Measured, not reported. It reads what people do in each connected tool, down to how many messages a session has. We only know what people tell us, with checks.2
- More than AI. The same data gives hundreds of metrics on meetings, collaboration, focus time and managers.4, 5
- Benchmarks. It sets your AI use against peer companies' ranges. We have no cross-company benchmark yet.2
- Privacy controls you can check. Reports are by group, of at least 8 people per its privacy page, and the optional proxy that pseudonymizes data before it leaves your systems is open source. Our results show from the first answer, with names when a survey asks for them.8, 10, 11
- Procurement-ready. SOC 2 Type II, audited every year, with SSO on Enterprise, and its prices are public. We have no certification or SSO yet.4, 14
Using both
Use Worklytics to see which teams use AI tools and how deeply. Then ask the teams it flags why: Worklytics' own guide says surveys remain useful for that question. AI Adoption Barriers (opens in a new tab) takes about 5 minutes per person and shows what stops people and who can fix it: IT, leadership, managers or training. The 360° AI Maturity Assessment (opens in a new tab) adds a level for every person and team, and the AI Anxiety Scale (opens in a new tab) measures the worries that logs can't show.2
Worklytics sees the AI tools you connect. Our surveys also ask about the tools people pay for themselves.
Questions
Does Worklytics read our messages or prompts?
Some of its connections can: the Copilot connection reads people's prompts and Copilot's replies, and the Slack one reads public channels' history. Worklytics says it keeps only metadata from them, such as a prompt's length, and never analyzes the content. Unless you run its proxy, that cleaning happens on Worklytics' side.2, 9, 10, 11, 12
Worklytics says surveys measure confidence, not capability. Is that a problem?
For skill, it's a fair point: our levels come from what people report, with checks. The 360° compares each self-rating with the team's, and the n8n and Claude assessments score a quiz. But usage data can't say why a team doesn't use AI, and Worklytics' own guide says surveys remain useful for that. That's the question our surveys are built for.2
Does AI Adoption Score connect to our tools?
No. People answer surveys and quizzes, and nothing is connected to your systems. More on what we keep in Security and privacy (opens in a new tab).
