Why it matters
AI tools are bought by the seat, but adoption happens person by person. License counts and usage dashboards show who has access; they don't show who uses AI well, whether it changes how work gets done, or why some teams barely touch it. The people doing the work can tell you, if you ask them the right questions and they trust what happens to the answers.
Questions it answers
These are the questions a leadership team needs answered before the next AI budget, and where the report answers each one.
Where to start
- Run the 360° AI Maturity Assessment across the company. About 15 minutes per person, on the questionnaire for their role, with nothing to install or connect. The report fills in with every answer.
- Add AI Adoption Barriers where teams lag. About 5 minutes, and it can run anonymously. It shows what to fix first, and who owns each fix.
- Run AI Market Pulse every quarter. About 8 minutes per person, with new developments each quarter.
- Run the 360° again once you've acted. Each round is set against the last: overall maturity, people at L4–5, resistance, champions and each dimension.
Decisions it supports
A report is worth running if it ends in a decision. For a leadership team, that's usually one of these:
- Where the next AI budget goes: training if the gap is skills; tools, rules or time if it's conditions; and if it's motivation, showing where AI already works in your own teams.
- Which teams to back first, and which of your AI champions can help them.
- Whether a rollout is working before you renew or expand licenses.
- What to tell the board: a level and a trend, rather than a count of licenses.
What it won't tell you
Revenue or cost savings. It measures the human side of adoption: how people use AI, their skills, the impact they report, the culture around it and the vision for it. It doesn't read financials or tool logs.
Verified expertise. Answers are self-reported. The 360° checks each self-rating against the team, and its engineering questionnaire flags careless answers. That catches some overstatement, not all of it.
An industry benchmark. AI Market Pulse sets answers against our own expected stage for each development, not against other companies' data.
A ranking of people. Use the results for development, not performance reviews: people rate themselves more generously when ratings feed decisions about them. More in Honest answers about AI.
