How it works
A new report starts on its own. Its Trends tab compares it with the earlier reports you pick, and with nothing else.
- At launch, if you like. The launch window has a Compare with row. Tick the team's earlier reports, or leave it at None.
- Or later, on the Trends tab. A report with nothing picked says so, and lists the survey's earlier reports to tick.
- A team's history in one click. Ticking picks one report. A report that was itself compared with earlier ones has a + N earlier button, which picks it together with them.
- Change it any time. The line above the trend says which reports it compares with, and Change opens the same list, with a search and Deselect all.
One report per team
Many companies run a survey once per team or project rather than once for everyone. A company that runs AI Market Pulse for its Mobile team and its Web team gets two reports every quarter. Picking keeps each trend to one team: the Mobile team's fourth quarter compares with its own third and second, not with the Web team's.
For one picture of the whole company, run one report for everyone. Several surveys then split it by team: AI Market Pulse's Teams side by side, the 360°'s Teams page and AI Adoption Barriers' Who's stuck where.
What each report compares
- AI Market Pulse: The four rates quarter by quarter.
- AI Adoption Barriers: The Barrier index, the verdict and each area's share held back, and this round's top barriers over time.
- 360° AI Maturity Assessment: Overall maturity, people at L4–5, resistance, champions and each dimension.
- AI Anxiety Scale (AIAS): The overall mean, the AI Concern Index and the four area means.
- Software Quality Management (SQM): The overall score, practices met, critical practices met and coverage.
- AI Skills Distribution: Who moved up, stayed or moved down, by person and capability.
- n8n and Claude Skills Quizzes: The average score and the share of people at Practitioner level or above.
AI Coding Usage has no Trends tab: its numbers come in from the team's Macs every day.
Who picks
- Whoever manages the report: the person who launched it, and everyone with Manage all reports.
- Everyone else who can open it sees which reports it compares with.
- Only reports you can open count. A picked report you can't open stays out of the trend you see.
Who can open a report is on Live reports (opens in a new tab).
What it won't do
Compare with a later report. A report looks back. When a newer report compares with it, its Trends tab links to that one.
Compare two surveys. A trend holds rounds of one survey.
Compare you with other companies. Trends compare your own rounds. There are no benchmarks across companies.
Show on a public link. A public link shows a report's Insights only.
